Mae Pwyllgor Cyfathrebu a Digidol Tŷ'r Arglwyddi wedi beirniadu ymateb Llywodraeth y DU i'w hadroddiad ar allgáu digidol a gyhoeddwyd ym mis Mehefin. Cafodd ymateb y Llywodraeth ei ddisgrifio fel ‘diffyg uchelgais’ ac yn methu ag ymdrin â'r pryderon a godwyd gan adroddiad y Pwyllgor. Mae'r Pwyllgor yn mynnu y bydd y rhaniadau yn dyfnhau oni bai bod Llywodraeth y DU yn taclo’r gagendor digidol.

Mae Hafal/Adferiad Recovery yn ysgrifennu am waith diweddar y sefydliad gyda Cymunedau Digidol Cymru i wella sgiliau digidol cyn-filwyr. Dywedodd Cadi Cliff, Rheolwr Rhaglenni Cymunedau Digidol Cymru: “Mae’n galonogol gweld y model Hyrwyddwyr Digidol yn cael effaith mor gadarnhaol ar fywydau cyn-filwyr sy’n derbyn cefnogaeth gan Hafal/Adferiad Recovery.” ---
Adroddiad Newydd: Cyfuno dull cyflawni wyneb yn wyneb ac ar-lein mewn gwasanaethau llesiant cymunedol
Ar ôl symud yn gyflym ‘ar-lein’ yn ystod cyfyngiadau’r coronafeirws a dychwelyd wedyn at weithgarwch wyneb yn wyneb, mae gwasanaethau lles yn y gymuned ar draws Cymru yn wynebu’r her o sut i ‘gyfuno’ darpariaeth ddigidol ac wyneb yn wyneb yn dilyn y pandemig. Nod hymchwil Canolfan Polisi Cyhoeddus Cymru, a gyflwynwyd ar y cyd â Frame CIC, oedd dysgu mwy am hyn gan sefydliadau ac ymarferwyr.
--- Y Gweinidog Iechyd yn gweld arloesiadau digidol Iechyd a Gofal Digidol Cymru (DHCW) ar waith
Gwelodd y Gweinidog Iechyd, Eluned Morgan, systemau a gwasanaethau Iechyd a Gofal Digidol Cymru ar waith yn ystod ymweliadau â swyddfa DHCW yng Nghaerdydd ac Ysbyty Castell-nedd Port Talbot (CNPT) y mis hwn. Eluned Morgan: “Mae manteision y systemau digidol newydd yr ydym yn eu hariannu yn glir i’w gweld. Maent yn symleiddio prosesau gweinyddol ar gyfer staff gofal iechyd ac yn caniatáu iddynt ganolbwyntio ar ofal cleifion.”

Mae partner Cymunedau Digidol Cymru, Good Things Foundation, yn helpu miloedd o bobl agored i niwed mewn cymunedau ar draws y DU i gysylltu drwy eu Banc Data Cenedlaethol. Mae'r banc data yn mynd i'r afael â thlodi data yn uniongyrchol drwy ddarparu SIMS am ddim a data symudol i bobl mewn angen.
Mae’r Banc Data Cenedlaethol yn rhad ac am ddim i ymuno ag ef ac mae’n gyfle gwych i sefydliadau cymunedol sydd am ymwneud â chynhwysiant digidol, gan helpu aelodau eu cymuned i gael mynediad at holl fanteision bod ar-lein.

Mae Cymunedau Digidol Cymru ei hyb adnoddau hyfforddi newydd! Gallwch ddod o hyd i wybodaeth ac adnoddau ar wirfoddoli, iechyd a lles, sgiliau digidol sylfaenol a hanfodol, diogelwch ar-lein, hygyrchedd digidol, gweithgareddau digidol ysbrydoledig a’r Gymraeg ar ein gofod hwb. Os ydych chi ar ddechrau eich taith cynhwysiant digidol, gallwch fynd i ‘Ble i ddechrau’ fel cam cyntaf Gallwch hefyd gwrdd â’r tîm y tu ôl i raglen Cymunedau Digidol Cymru yma.

Mae Cymunedau Digidol Cymru; Hyder Digidol, Iechyd a Lles (DCW) mewn partneriaeth â DSPP yn cyflwyno sesiynau hyfforddi Sioe Deithiol Cynhwysiant Digidol er mwyn cefnogi staff a gwirfoddolwyr i helpu eraill i ymgysylltu ag Ap GIG Cymru.
Os oes gennych ddiddordeb mewn ymuno â'r sesiwn, mae gennym bedwar sesiwn ar y gweill. The House of Lords Communications and Digital Committee has criticised the UK Government’s response to its report on digital exclusion which it published in June. The Government’s response is described as lacking ambition and failing to engage with the concerns raised by the Committee’s report. The Committee emphasises that the divides between digital ‘haves and have-nots’ will deepen unless the UK Government takes the issue more seriously.
--- Leaving no one behind: How veterans are supporting each other to get online
In this blog Hafal/Adferiad Recovery write about the organisation’s recent work with Digital Communities Wales to improve the digital skills of veterans. Cadi Cliff, Programme Manager at Digital Communities Wales said: “It’s encouraging to see the Digital Champions model having such a positive impact on the lives of veterans that Hafal/Adferiad Recovery supports.”
--- New Report: Blending online and face-to-face provision in community wellbeing services
Following often rapid shifts ‘online’ during the coronavirus lockdowns and subsequent returns to in-person activity, community-based wellbeing services across Wales are facing the challenge of how to ‘blend’ digital and face-to-face provision beyond the pandemic. Wales Centre for Public Policy research, delivered in collaboration with Frame CIC, aimed to find out more from organisations and practitioners about this.
--- Health Minister sees DHCW digital innovations in action
Health Minister Eluned Morgan saw Digital Heath and Care Wales (DHCW) systems and services in action during visits to DHCW’s Cardiff office and Neath Port Talbot (NPT) Hospital this month. Eluned Morgan said: “The benefits of the new digital systems we are funding are clear to see. They are streamlining administrative processes for healthcare staff and allowing them to focus on patient care.”
--- Free mobile data for your community members – 5 December Q&A
Digital Communities Wales’ partner, Good Things Foundation, are helping thousands of vulnerable people in communities across the UK to get connected through their National Databank. The databank is tackling data poverty head on by providing free SIMS and mobile data to people in need.
The National Databank is free to join and is a great opportunity for community organisations who want to get involved with digital inclusion, helping their community members to access all the benefits of being online.
DCW in partnership with Good Things Foundation are holding a Q&A session for organisations in Wales on 5th December at 10am. You can register for a place via this link. If you have any queries, get in touch with the Databank team at databank@goodthingsfoundation.org.

Digital Communities Wales has a new training resources hub! You can find information and resources on volunteering, health and well-being, foundation and essential digital skills, online safety, digital accessibility, inspiring digital activities and the Welsh language on our hub space. If you're at the beginning of your digital inclusion journey, you can go to ‘Where to start’ as a first step You can also meet the team behind the DCW programme here.
--- National Digital Inclusion Network
Good Things Foundation’s National Digital Inclusion Network is made up of thousands of grassroots organisations that are all working to deliver digital inclusion support in their local communities. In Wales Good Things Foundation works in partnership with Digital Communities Wales.
If you’re a community organisation that is or wants to support your community members to get online and access the benefits of digital - then joining the network will help you do exactly that. It is free to join and offers a range of free services, such as:
• Access to the National Databank and National Device Bank • Free training and resources • Networking opportunities
• Access to the online learning platform, Learn My Way. The Welsh platform can be found here.

Use this map to search for somewhere near you for support in using the internet safely. The interactive map shows places you can go for support to develop your basic digital skills, use a device and access the internet. The map allows you to search by postcode for places to either go yourself or signpost those in need of support such as libraries and community centres.

DWP Wales Universal Credit Operational Delivery – Digital Inclusion Charter Accredited
The Digital Inclusion Charter is for organisations in Wales which are promoting basic digital skills and helping people get online. Since the launch of the Charter hundreds of organisations have signed-up. DWP Wales Universal Credit Operational Delivery are one of the organisations to sign the Charter and go on to achieve Accreditation status – you can read their organisational commitment here.

DCW Roadshow - Supporting your communities to engage with the NHS Wales App
Digital Communities Wales; Digital Confidence health and wellbeing (DCW) in partnership with DSPP are delivering a Roadshow of Digital Inclusion training sessions in order to support to staff and volunteers to help others to engage with the upcoming NHS Wales App. If you are interested in joining the session, we have four sessions upcoming. Understanding and protecting yourself from misinformation online with NewsGuard |
This webinar will be available in English with a Welsh interpreter. Please select on our registration form if you would like to access the webinar using a Welsh interpreter.
Digital Communities Wales welcomes NewsGuard to co-host a free digital skills session about misinformation and finding reliable information online. Bring along your members, clients, and community members to hear from NewsGuard’s experts about how misinformation spreads online, and what you can do to protect yourself and others from online threats. Attendees will all receive free access to NewsGuard’s browser extension, thanks to funding from UK Government’s Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
NewsGuard was created by a team of journalists who assess the credibility and transparency of news and information websites, and is used by the DCMS and Ofcom. |

Social media is a powerful tool for staying in touch with others and connected with the wider world. During this session we will explore how to use social media to engage with your communities. This session will: • Discuss the benefits of social media for community engagement. • Give an overview of using Facebook and Twitter to connect with your audience. • Briefly introduce how Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube can also be used for community engagement. • Discuss privacy and online safety when using social media platforms. |
