🌍 WRc is supporting Earth Day 2024 and its theme, Planet vs Plastics.  EARTHDAY.ORG ‘s 2024 Planet vs. Plastics 60X40 campaign aims to unite people from all backgrounds in an unwavering commitment to call for a 60% reduction in plastic production by the end of 2040.  Did you know, the planet is exposed to several thousand chemicals associated with plastic, including additives, plasticisers, pigments, antimicrobial agents, heat stabilisers, UV stabilisers, fillers and flame retardants?  To achieve 60X40, EARTHDAY.ORG aims to promote widespread awareness of #plasticpollution, raise awareness of the scourge of fast fashion’s excess plastic usage, and promote innovative solutions to build a plastic-free planet. In addition, they are demanding more research is carried out on the health implications of plastic pollution, strongly aligning with WRc’s forging research on #microplastics and our commitment to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
